I seem to recall Binaural not getting outstanding reviews.

Please be like Binaural.
yeah Binaural was hated. I remember Rolling Stone calling it a very shy album from a band that once mattered....it was so fucking funny.
I still hate Binaural.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Reading these reviews, I'm cautiously optimistic there is at least more depth on Gigaton. Hell, it even seems like they put forth some effort rather than PJ by the numbers.

Trying not to be too stoked, even though for me DotC is the best thing they've done in over 15 years.

This sums up my feelings.

I think the lack of an advance stip review is for the best, I would immediately lose all hope if he loved it.

They're sensitive about their age. Also, this way they can still use the Lightning Bolt gear on tour.

Absolutely I am. I have no intention of buying a physical copy of this record.
So just stream it when it drops?
Yep or download a leak hopefully sooner!
So you're excited about it? And looking forward to some shitty leak to listen to on your phone? Instead of listening to the thing properly at any point?
hell yes! and them when I hear a good clean copy i’ll better appreciate it
But it's like two weeks from release and you've only barely had enough time to churn out your wordy dissections as is. Why not just wait?

Thats Binaural, ma'friend.
That’s why I love binaural. But even that album is not that much of a departure from their sound or even that experimental, even though I’d say it’s their most “experimental” album along with No Code.

I want Binaural^2

Binaural is not PJ's Kid A.
PJ hasn't made their Kid A yet.
From what I gather reading the reviews so far [by the way, wtf did space dot com get an advance, and Stip got shit?] it sounds like Gigaton might be PJ's In Rainbows (and I'm just fine with that).

It's almost like they WANT it to leak with all these random websites getting advanced copies.
