That would be be a huge buzz kill. We're in too deep for this happen. Embargo has been lifted so it doesn't make sense.

Not sure how they determine their number grades but they have:

Consequence of Sound - 83
Rolling Stone - 80 (seeeeems low based on my reading)
AV Club - 75

I guess Space.com didn't make the cut.

There is absolutely no reason to delay at this point. The vast majority of “sales” will be through streaming/downloads, no one is going to hit up Target or Walmart for the CD, leaving vinyl sales which will probably mostly be online orders and are probably all pressed already for the first wave of release. What would the purpose of delaying be?

The Stereogum review which I thought was the best of the lot also didn't make the cut? That's weird. Or maybe it will later?
Pearl Jam is the only band I'll spend money on.

I think they don't use Stereogum as they don't have numerical ratings for albums.

83 is a B+ (A being 100, A- being about 91/92, B+ 83 etc...)
80 is just 4/5 * 100

They don't read the reviews and assign a score themselves.

why the hell would an album release - something that is like 90% digital anyway nowadays - be delayed due to a virus?

at least try next time.

With the tour postponed i wonder if this increases the odds of them getting out there and doing some late night appearances?

I just listened to Getaway and Superblood Wolfmoon back to back (Getaway being the song from Lightning Bolt I would compare SBWM the most to) and I enjoyed SBWM a lot more. The production difference is astounding.

If they're stuck in Seattle. And they can't tour.

Could we get a Gigaton Pirate Radio concert?

Press record.

Edit it into tracks.

Release it as a fundraiser for all those put out of work by this virus.

Is the Apollo show canceled too do you think ?

What they should do is a broadcasted concert from their warehouse to make up
For something like that.

That would be fantastic

I agree wholeheartedly...Monkeywrench radio style broadcast on z100 in NY!
Or maybe stream it either way I'm in!
