They did the right thing. I might feel differently if I had spent money on flights and hotels, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

I can't believe they postponed the whole first leg over a media driven mass hysteria event, Amazing! Atleast this gives me more time to try and get a ticket whenever they pick the tour back up. I would guess it's in the fall with the NJ fest date being added yesterday,

The problem I foresee is that we're going to get a second wave of this virus next winter. It's not going to go away. A vaccine is probably another 18 months away realistically, so next winter leaves us with 'social distancing' as the first line of defence against this thing again. That means gigs and events are going to be postponed/cancelled again.Monkey_Driven wrote:I would just love to have an idea of to when these will be postponed. We thinking September/October?
I'd be surprised if these rescheduled dates happen any time before summer 2021. But even then, you have to factor in the fact that the band will likely be trying to reschedule their Euro tour for next summer. Plus pretty much EVERY other band that has had to cancel dates will be scrabbling around for venues for rearranged dates.
It's gonna be carnage for the foreseeable future for touring bands.

It's just hardly being tested, that's why there are not a lot of cases.lowlight79 wrote:lol, Let's do Math Numb nuts, there are 327.2 million people in Merica...fuck yeah, in the US, we have 755 cases. I’ll buy you a flight to Milan right now. Go.
They’ve stopped treating over 65 in hospital giving them up as a lost cause.
Now look up how many people under that age bracket are critical.
But sure. Tell us again how it’s all hysteria.
You seem to be believing everything you see on tv.
Easy to see where you get your news from.
Death by irony.
All flights out of Italy have been cancelled. Sporting event and concerts being canceled all over
That’s hysteria is it?
Moron.

I'm gonna hold you to that flight to Milan, I'll go once they can let me in. Do you need my contact info? Would you be nice enough to get a ticket for my wife too?dimejinky99 wrote:lowlight79 wrote:lol, Let's do Math Numb nuts, there are 327.2 million people in Merica...fuck yeah, in the US, we have 755 cases. It's truly hysterical when he tries throw his trump attacks at me.Angus wrote:It's just hardly being tested, that's why there are not a lot of cases.lowlight79 wrote:lol, Let's do Math Numb nuts, there are 327.2 million people in Merica...fuck yeah, in the US, we have 755 cases. I don't think "numbnuts" was necessary. We aren't the Pit here, folks!

Re: 2020 Tour (Rumors) (aka Gig A Ton) (aka Gigatour)
Without personally knowing how the logistics work nor the feasibility of it - is it possible they cancel/postpone the European leg and re-schedule this spring leg for the summer? Then they'd just stay stateside for the fall/NA leg two shows? Just crapshooting - have no idea when they are going to reschedule. Not that they care, but with kiddos, summer would be ideal since they are out of school. But as long as they don't actually cancel the show, I'm good for whenever since I'm lucky enough not to have to travel to where I have tix...Monkey_Driven wrote:I would just love to have an idea of to when these will be postponed. Re: 2020 Tour (Rumors) (aka Gig A Ton) (aka Gigatour)
I'm sure it's some miserably sad person calling all the contacts for all these venues trying to string the dates into a coherent schedule again, working around whatever stuff is already on the calendars. It's not so much "logistics" as it is one really over-worked intern.DissidentRival4 wrote:Without personally knowing how the logistics work nor the feasibility of it.Monkey_Driven wrote:I would just love to have an idea of to when these will be postponed. Yep, but that'll be when there's either herd immunity or a vaccine. Even a conservative estimate would say that's a time frame of probably 12-18 months.Monkey_Driven wrote:There will be a point where people just move on and stop cancelling things for this.igotworms wrote:The problem I foresee is that we're going to get a second wave of this virus next winter. Don't get me wrong - most people are not going to get particularly ill with this virus. It's just that there's about 3-4% of the population (the elderly, sick and vulnerable) that will die if society as a whole isn't responsible and gets control of it. Of course, that doesn't stop some cold-hearted pricks from still moaning about it, but then every society has its..... shits.

Re: 2020 Tour (Rumors) (aka Gig A Ton) (aka Gigatour)
I doubt they will walk away from the festival/European money. Seems easier to just reschedule these dates around the framework of the Fall tour in development.DissidentRival4 wrote:Without personally knowing how the logistics work nor the feasibility of it - is it possible they cancel/postpone the European leg and re-schedule this spring leg for the summer? Re: 2020 Tour (Rumors) (aka Gig A Ton) (aka Gigatour)
I know they were planning to add dates in the fall, So stick with a few fest euro shows over the summer and do a two US legs similar to 2000, August and September, then October & November.Monkey_Driven wrote:I doubt they will walk away from the festival/European money.
