A monkeywrench radio style event would be far more effective in this instance.

Pearl Jam gave fans a small preview of Backspacer track “Amongst the Waves” with a 10-second, Verizon-only ringtone that was released yesterday. According to Fierce Wireless, in the weeks leading up to the release of Backspacer, the band will release ringtones for every track on the album up until September 17th.

I don't see the RS review in the Gigaton Articles thread. Does this make 6?

The sole concept of a review without actually hearing the album is such a pathetic cockteaser.

Are you saying that the reviewers have not heard the album?
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

The "Bob Honey" references are so funny to me. Is Sean Penn's dumb book Gigaton's Ishmael ?

I'm happier to know that the message of "Quick Escape" is that we had to go to Mars to escape Trump and colonialism, because the notion that Pearl Jam was free of it as soon as they were in Morocco and India was horrible

I did not want Sean Penn or his "novel" in a Pearl Jam song

I haven't read it, I just know it from the 372 Pages I'll Never Get Back podcast. They savaged it.

Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff is a 2018 American satirical novel written by Sean Penn.[1] Narrated from the point of view of Pappy Pariah, the book tells the story of Bob Honey, a supposed international assassin who kills elderly people with a mallet.
The book includes an epilogue featuring a poem that touches on current events — the Las Vegas mass shooting, North Korea, and Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, and the #MeToo movement. Honey also writes a threatening letter to the US President "Mr. Landlord" in which he advocates for the President's assassination. He declares, "You are not simply a president in need of impeachment, you are a man in need of an intervention. We are not simply a people in need of an intervention, we are a nation in need of an assassin. Tweet me bitch, I dare you."
