In the bar industry we joke that the business is recession-proof. However, it remains to be seen whether or not we are pandemic-proof.

Seems like the existence of index futures makes investing in the indexes more risky. or maybe not.

I figure I have enough time until I retire that this won’t even matter.
But then again I don’t know shit about the stock market and I just have a couple mutual funds.

Walk outside and ask the first person you see what they think of the Eastside. You’ll probably get scoffed at.doug rr wrote:I haven't lived here long enough to know what the eastside isBammer wrote:I’d rather just be homeless on the Eastsidedoug rr wrote:i have an extra bedroom just off DennyBammer wrote:That would really be somethingdoug rr wrote:you'll be homeless in 90 daysBammer wrote:I figure I have enough time until I retire that this won’t even matter.

The ones hurting the most in my city are concentrated in Asiatown, where people stopped going a month ago. My wife and I plan to go support one of our favorite ramen places there next week.tragabigzanda wrote:I think bars will fair much better than restaurants, which are about to get clobbered. Kind of fucked up that people are avoiding that one part of town.
