so then do you use more round bread or more square cold cuts (i can't think of any i would ever consume where i'd actually have to cut it myself; most cold cuts i would consider eating as a sandwich are round)?doug rr wrote:round cold cuts on square bread bugs me

you do know that animals aren't square-shaped, yes? it's just been processed into a square and then that square is sliced for you. a slicer does just that: slice. there is no shaper button on the slicer, just "on" and "ohshitIcutmythumb off"

I guess Mario Batali lucked out at his #metoo timing because being bough-out of all his restaurant interests before restaurants went to 0 revenue was probably a good thing?!?

I had one yesterday (caramel filling). Hard to resist when it's right there in front of you and you haven't had, or even seen, one in a year. But man, just waaaayy to sugary and sweet. I don't think I could stomach more than one at a time and if there are any more of them in my house right now, the kids can have them.Chris_H_2 wrote:these goddamn cadbury mini eggs are going to be the death of me.

Ah yes, those damn things. They are amazing and I found a bag of dark chocolate ones in our pantry yesterday. Maybe the best candy on earth and impossible to eat just one. Glad they are seasonal.Chris_H_2 wrote:the ones we have lying around are the ones with the hard shells with just chocolate in the middle. they're unbelievably addicting.Bammer wrote:I had one yesterday (caramel filling). I really hate when people say they make the best _____ in a conversation about a food that everyone makes just fine. Your grilled cheese isn't better than mine, it's not fucking hard to do.
