This seems a bit premature. But sounds like a bandaid to give the stock market a boost on Monday and make Trump look good (to himself.)

We're all gonna be on lockdown soon. Appraisals/loans (typicall) require personal inspections from the appraiser. There's a chance for awhile we may not be able to do such a thing. So what happens? I dont know.tragabigzanda wrote:??Strat wrote:This is not going to end well.

This will go on for 6 months at least. Temporary lockdowns minimum.Strat wrote:LetMeSleep wrote:property crash...Strat wrote:We're all gonna be on lockdown soon. I would be so fucking happy if they just got rid of interior inspections all together. Exteriors and desktops for life, baby. Lower fee but so much easier...LetMeSleep wrote:This will go on for 6 months at least. This is like the third time in a week Trump has tried to stop the market nosedive. It's not going to work.

Re: Does anyone care about the economy?
The bottom line is that economic policies can't stop a health crisis/panic.
The Fed cutting rates to 0% was meaningless as far as economic stimulus goes as the dramatic decrease in demand by the market had already basically pushed interest rates there already.
That said, there's probably about to be a lot of businesses struggling to make payroll very soon and so the fact that The Fed is pumping liquidity into lending markets will probably help with problem. But The Fed has no bullets for a virus.
