This is surprisingly tough. I like both of these songs.

The Sign has held up for decades longer though. It gets my vote.

"Apologize" is really rough. I thought it was a OneRepublic song, didn't realize it was credited to Timbaland, but I guess that's the extent to which I paid attention to the song beyond its irritating chorus. I kind of enjoy "The Sign" so it gets my vote

Ace of Base. Super fond memories hearing this song over and over again while helping decorate the civic center for Christmas. This song ushered in my adolescent years and helped me understand the appeal of music beyond top 40 country in the early 90s.
