They werent even mastered right? I had those.
Best part was that Life Wasted didn't have that damn fade-out. Mike's solo to completion was pretty triumphant!

Yeah, I guess I got that backwards, I thought it did have it. I guess the outrage came when the official release did.

Aside from listening straight through from start to finish, which i would say is an absolute requirement, how will people listen? Headphones? quality sound system? at home or in the car on a solo cruise? Will people pour a drink and if so, what? i'm thinking about bringing all three sonos speakers i have and configuring them in stereo in one room and enjoying a neat pour of bourbon.
I don't have a great stereo system, so basically I'll head to the basement and chill out with headphones. Definitely wouldn't want to hear it first in a car.
Probably go for a walk and listen to it twice. Then at my computer so I can post about it. I have good headphones for both

Seems like a waste of a good bottle of wine.

Best review so far! I've learned alot from that review!
n that way, the meditative “Alright” (music by Ament, words by Vedder) hearkens back to “Present Tense” (from No Code). It also mixes up their usual instrumentation with Cameron on guitar, Ament on keys and kalimba, and Evans using a drum program

In the scorching standout known as “Quick Escape,” Vedder describes “The lengths we had to go to then / To find a place Trump hadn’t fucked up yet.”

The words and music of next song “Take the Long Way” are credited to Matt Cameron, who switches to guitar for this jam. It also features backing vocals from Seattle singer-songwriter Meagan Grandall (of Lemolo). Much like the melody, Cameron’s lyrics hypnotize: “Plant a seed in your mind / What’s yours is mine / Show me how to live divine / What’s yours is mine…”

Guess we're getting a lot of Cameron on the guitar.

An uninterrupted 57 minutes is going to be hard to find, squad.

This will be a late-night and headphones event for me.

And that's assuming my discman still works bc I just realized my macbook ain't got no drive to play a cd... and then that's assuming biermann can even do postage in quarantine.

I hope Come Then Goes to be closer to Off He Goes than The End in terms of being a ¨solo ed song¨.

Some of these reviews mentioned different studios being used. Some were really small and home studios from the guys.
And that does gets me excited. Im starting to think that Josh Evans played a crucial role in this. It sounds like the guys recorded some parts alone or in pairs. They have probably spend more time in the studio this way. BO'B schedule wouldnt allow that, he probably wants all the guys in for a number of weeks and knock a record out. Josh Evans role also seems to be a projectmanager

Sounds like he’s just sessions guy now though. Or did I gloss over something that mentioned him working production?

It's possible they used takes (or parts of takes) from when O'Brien was still working on the album with them, which means he may show up playing while not having the production credit.
