I still have the TMNT rock 'n' roll bus; my daughter played with it all the time before the doors fell off.

I had that. I remember reading about the tech a few years ago and a) I totally don't know how it works either and b) I don't know why it didn't catch on. heard something about a reboot but I doubt it's going to happen. I mean there's esoteric and there's this.tragabigzanda wrote:Also Captain Power was pretty cool. My buddy had the thing that worked with the VHS cassette. In retrospect, I have no idea how they implemented that technology.

I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Re: Old toys from way back
Oh yeah, I was all about Matchbox cars when I was a kid. I had 3 cases of the things plus a shoebox. Give me those and a sand pit and I was sorted for the day.Anders wrote:
Had just over 300 of these, collected between ages 5 and 11. Got my mother to agree to me hosting a party for me and some friends when I reached 300. Two girls showed up that had a crush on me. They tried to hide with a present of a large bag of candy and love hearts for me, but we saw them first. We ran after them and surrounded them. I did date one of them later that year for three months.
Stopped collecting shortly after. Mostly stopped with kids toys by 12, and converted to video games. Although I did build some lego between 12-15.
This is one of the cases I had - each would hold 4 trays of 20 or so cars.

Re: Old toys from way back
I had a couple of trays plus this funky tote bag for my trucks and others that didn't fit.

And these beauties were great.
