So, im happy.
Im with you on all of that

Happy at peace zen motherfuckers :)

It will be what it'll be, fair enough. Lets just hope it's great :)
It will be. It might be different from what you want or me or any other PJ fan...and that´s why we keep coming back to this band right?

I actually believed BOB on one thing: that the band took so long because they were hesitant to get the whole Pearl Jam machine rolling 2 years ago when they first started working on it and wanted a bit more time to themselves before fully committing to everything.

That where I have been for everything post ST. that one let me down so hard I stopped placing my own demands on the bands and just decided let them do their own thing and hopefully I like it.

Yeah, he just says horribly off-putting things. He sounds like an obsessive control freak. I want to believe that I'm overstating this case, but by now I'm really not sure I am. He's pulling the strings; what other explanation is there?
Its definitly skewed because we haven't heard from the band yet, which is their own fault. I doubt he has major control over the album, but what else can he talk about other than his involvement, he just sucks donkey balls at doing it.

It sounds like he views music as a whole and pearl jam differently to the way we do, and maybe the band do (or did i dunno), and i guess since they're all more laid back and less bull headed about thier own work, they're more willing to listen to him on things and we get...this.

And eddies apparently less likely to say 'wtf fuck no' when someone brings in a cheesy guitar solo or suggests a piano accompaniment. Or maybe he digs em now.

I would love more production from them, but i don't want them to phone it in, i want it to mean something to them, so if it takes 4 years for that to happen again then i will wait

Brendan's says the albums he didn't produce simply don't exist to him? Wow he really comes off like a dick in every interview I read of him. Pearl Jam made their best album (Binaural) without you fuck face!

And speaking of Binaural, I'm really glad that this album is giving the Binaural vibe, of songs you can just put headphones on and get lost in, like Sleight of Hand, Nothing As It Seems, Strangest Tribe, Parting Ways. It seems like we are getting that with Pendulum, Yellow Moon and Infallible. That has me excited to hear it. I'm a little disappointed there doesn't seem to be many hard rock songs, but I'll take this direction over S/T and Backspacer.

This bastard needs to leak so i can form my own opinions. And for the love of god can we get an interview with an actual member of the band.

Also why would eddie work in a room seperate to the band 'with his own team' ? or does he mean recording vocals and shit?
I took that as writing lyrics/vocals, etc.

yeah, pretty much that...When Binaural came out i just wanted them to make another Vs....then RA came out and i wanted a new Yield..Then ST came and i wanted something more in the vein of No code...

Just relax and enjoy the music...Luckily, there will be 4 or 5 songs you really like and want to hear live and some wtf moments that could evolve into " i get this now" type of thing.

To their credit, I've often had pj songs(and other bands albums) make no sense to me for years and then one day they just land on you and make total sense. That's more a personal thing but its a credit to the music and the efforts involved in making it.

I feel the same way...for years i was kinda letdown with a song or an album until i realized how good it is.
They are pretty unique for that.

I don't think if you look at in a time table per member way it is taking all that long
2002 Riot act
2003 Live at the garden + boots
2003 live at Benaroyal
2004 Lost dogs
2006 S/t
2007 Live in ? Into the Wild
2009 Backspace
2011 Pj 20 + Uke songs
2013 Lightning Bolt
So that list is without touring and other side projects it really is not that bad.

Well that to me is the sign of really Great art. It can elude your sensibility(fuck taste/aesthetic) and then suddenly open to you in a big way.
Some of Pj's quiter/darker moments, do this with huge success. NAIS, all or none, strangest tribe and on and on

Most of that is secondary Pj related releases though. Not that much actual output at all comparable to say foo fighters/ other pj peers
