What the fuck does trump do now?

Serious question
Probably die of the coronavirus, and leave a legacy of moron followers who believe he was assassinated by the deep state.

Well we know that.

But there’s a wandering long road between here and there and a great many people propped this cunt up and enable him

Who are they. Who’s paying them. What was their goal?

If we are being honest, Pence isn't doing that bad on this. Hearing him speak right after Trump it's like night and day.

I'm not sure what else people think we can do here now, without a time machine to go back a year or two and prepare.

What else would you do? Seriously. We can't exactly put soldiers on the street to make everyone stay put for a month.

Well your comment about Pence was mostly what i was getting at. Everyone looks like a fucking genius after Tump speaks.

however, my gf's parents were locked in their flat in Calpe and police officers were outside with megaphones making sure people stayed in doors.

Yes, you can do that. Americans wouldnt stand for it because ....America.

People are still not on board with this and still feel its all overblown and hype. Areas are slow to adapt the suggestions from the CDC and Government. Perhaps, it should be mandatory.

Things like this aren't something I would consider.....so, for you land locked states!
Those businesses are now closed, of course, but further complicating Osborne’s operation is the inability to get fish. The fish Eagle Smoked Salmon uses comes from Norway, and is shipped on passenger aircraft. With travel shut down between the U.S. and Europe, that supply line has dried up.

At first, Osborne tried to route shipments from Norway to London, then the U.S. But with flights stopped from Great Britain, that supply line has also been eliminated.

“It’s just impossible to get (fish) right now,” Osborne said.
Id be careful of ordering fish anywhere....

Trump has spent the last 4 years lying daily, so I get that, but the very nature of our society is choice not government mandate and any solution must be within that framework.

At the expense of human life? Also, by all accounts, the longer this goes on the worse its going to be on peoples paychecks and the economy. So, the extreme measures, also by all accounts, are what will be most effective.

Americans should start rethinking what america is and what it could be.

washing machine wrote:Saving lives is the most important thing, yes, but Dime is also correct. Service industry workers live and die by this income, so to speak. Not to mention small businesses who live and die by margins and monthly PNL sheets. It's hard to accept in the heat of the moment.

Houston, for example, just had 265,000 people lose their incomes for the foreseeable future overnight. The weeks leading up to this have not been kind to their savings either as social distancing has significantly decreased their nightly sales and tips.

This is a difficult problem for everyone involved. Doone, I'm not really addressing your post directly, but using it as a platform to address a larger trend I see brewing in which hospitality and tourist spots are taking a PR hit for existing at this moment.

Our governments need to make this economically feasible for workers to lose this income but also our leaders need to make it 110% crystal clear that congregating in large groups is a problem.

I don't think anyone at the moment knows how to do this outside of significant help from the private sector in the way of .orgs and GoFundMes.

this is going to be a total disaster

the gov't needs to issue checks to people now

you can't order everything closed and then leave people to the wind

empty the coffers

Government, media, corporations, etc. are in a lose/lose situation.

As much as I hate to defend the establishment, they are pretty much screwed either way. Either they do nothing and it blows up into a huge catastrophe, or they successfully stop the epidemic, and get accused of overreacting to a nothing problem.
