Re: Quick Escape
Not listening to any new snippets. Full blackout. Gonna wait until the 27th at this point.
But, man, the reviews and responses here have me really jacked up for this one.

Re: Quick Escape
The evidence is starting to pile up. Honestly, how far do you have to go back for 2 singles, a closer, and 2 snippets that were this good. For me it would be Yield with snippets from DTE and Faithful (but River Cross is so superior to ATY that I might push it back to Vitalogy).

I like it too but it's a bit of a lullaby. I don't know if the River Cross lyrics on Gigaton are the same as the live performances (the reviews quote lines I don't recognize) but it's the lyrics in those live performances are very good.verb_to_trust wrote:All Those Yesterdays is awesome

Re: Quick Escape
Another thing occurred to me, it kind of, sort of, very loosely reminds me of Jeff’s solo album single Safe In The Car (love that song). Especially if it ends with a similar minute long Mike solo too.
Aright, no more snippets from here on out for me. We’ll see how that holds up.

Re: Quick Escape
I think i read this one is supposed to be spoken word except for the 90s sounding chorus. I can't afford to be disappointed on this song. I wonder if I'll be content with the spoken word parts or if it will make me think a good riff and groove deserved more. Or hopefully if it is spoken word the chorus will be so good that it wont matter.

I will continue listening to the new snippets because I’m stuck at home and avoiding it is even more work. It won’t change the first listen for me.
