I don’t remember anything about spoken word but one review said it could have fit on their earlier albums more than any of the songs.reconstruction_ seeds wrote:I think i read this one is supposed to be spoken word except for the 90s sounding chorus. I can't afford to be disappointed on this song. I wonder if I'll be content with the spoken word parts or if it will make me think a good riff and groove deserved more. Or hopefully if it is spoken word the chorus will be so good that it wont matter.

Yeah, this is what that muffled soundcheck clip of Infallible sounded like.Ms Harmless wrote:this is what Infallible should have sounded likeJohnny Turner wrote:This sounds great!!
Reminds me of Infallible (ok, I really like this song), but this has potential to be much better based on the snippet. I can see Ed singing on this and anything will sound cool.

I don’t think I could take a spoken word that calls out trump. A song, sure.

Yep. This does have some resemblance to that one. The production sounds great.LetMeSleep wrote:I concur. Oh what could have been with Infallible.Johnny Turner wrote:This sounds great!!

I get a Bushleaguer vibe, not sonically, but what the song is gonna be, if that makes sense.

Infallible always reminded me of the music from the Forrest of Illusion map in Super Mario WorldEJ wrote:Yep. This does have some resemblance to that one. The production sounds great.LetMeSleep wrote:I concur. Oh what could have been with Infallible.Johnny Turner wrote:This sounds great!!

Re: Quick Escape
I think it sounds way more beasty than Infallible...sound like SG, Zep or at least something from the first Audioslave album. One of the reviews said it was kinda like Blood or Ratm..and yeah.

Another great clip. Everything I’ve heard so far sounds like a massive step in a positive direction. GIGATON 4Lyfe.

Re: Quick Escape
Pearl Jam hasn’t grooved this loosely since Yield. It has that airy, slightly rough around the edges quality that most of the best PJ songs have. Lots of sonic details, string noise, etc. The groove would totally fit on a 90’s PJ album. Jeez if you close your eyes you can kinda picture Dave A. playing it. When was the last time that happened?

Re: Quick Escape
Not a lot to go on, but I do think this will be a top three track on the album.

Re: Quick Escape
It sort of reminded me of something as well, but I have to think about which song it was. Maybe an Audioslave song.
