I can get more of the rhythmic pulse a couple listens in; all the Matt doesn't bother me as much, and I love the subtle "jam" at the end which crumbles, again in a very Yield way

3.9 stars. This is the kinda song that works best for the band these days. Although I'd usually prefer a lower range for Ed, this kinda works here.

There's so much of it I like. And then the drumming... it's like they drafted in Dale from Step Brothers.

As a "protest" song this is infinitely better than CDM. Very smart pivot.

Pump organ's been buried a little too deep in the mix imo. Still it's pretty good.

The rhythms don’t mesh as much as I need them to in order to really like this version. I also really want the band to open up for the last minute or so.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

I had the exact thought the first time I heard the studio version of Speed of Sound, then it really grew on me.

When I listen on headphones it sounds like it’s Ed getting that pump organ going.

I’m probably wrong though.

Think that's it. Too repetitive to be someone's breath and it audible again in the quiet parts. Unless it's a shaker or something. :?

I hope the pump organ is just a little louder in the actual released mix

This is a very emotional song without an ounce of cheesiness
I love it
