Also, I like how connected these songs are. So many tracks have little atmospherics and noises and elements that bleed from the previous song into the next. I haven't spent enough time with it to comfortably call it a concept album or anything like that but those elements give a concept album quality that I really dig.

Speculating, but, the width you describe MAY be the swirling sounds that are a tell-tale sign of transcoded audio. Maybe not. I'll know more when I can listen later on.

I’m deaf as a post but I’m just hearing more in the actual playing not the space or production really.

Wow. Didn’t expect to like the record this much. The only song I don’t like is never destination. This far into their career to have even one amazing song on a record is a plus. Dance, Quick Escape, 7 oclock, buckle up, etc. This is a solid record. Eddie sounds great. I don’t care for Retrograde either. Don’t hate it but it isn’t my thing. But I am actually finding songs on here that I LOVE and that hasn’t happened since yield for me.
