Re: Who Ever Said
that's a good point; there is more "accidental" ambient studio noise in this album than we had any right to expect in 2020Strat wrote:Thats what i love about many of these tracks. You can feel the band in the studio together. Unleashed. Not cut and pasted.Ms Harmless wrote:that first bass note makes no sense, it's a false start

Did I hear "something something circumcised" in the lyrics?

It's better on 2nd listen. I think maybe I just had to come to terms that I might actually enjoy new PJ and now its blast off.

Re: Who Ever Said
On second listen I can hear a little more of the band that made Backspacer in this song. Which is not an insult just an observation that I missed the first time. I like the mania in this song but it's less raw and a little shinier the second time around for me.bada wrote:It's better on 2nd listen. I don't get the Last Exit comparison at all. Not even remotely close to it. This is more like a classic rock era Aerosmith does a Lightning Bolt era Pearl Jam song.evenslow wrote:this one was hard to wrap my arms around on first listen. didn't help that i had last exit in my head.

was hard for me to wrap my head around it due tot he ambient intro. It went the complete opposite direction and im still dealing with that.
