If I can defend my list here...

The reason why I looked it all up in the first place was that someone had posted a track listing that included writing credits, and I was attempting to show how unrealistic it was based on said credits, since they included several writings credits that had never actually occurred in the post-shared credit (Vs./Vitalogy) Pearl Jam world. I believe the fake track listing included, among other things, Ament/Gossard/Vedder credits and Ament/McCready/Vedder credits, which as the list as compiled show are non-existent in the last eighteen years, and thus seem unlikely to all of the sudden start occurring. In fact, Jeff hasn't shared a non-lyric credit with anyone since Hail, Hail (besides the full band Save You), so I was using the list to explain why the idea of that happening several times on the new record was reason enough to believe the track listing to be fake (which it was). Jeff obviously hates everyone else post-Vitalogy.

I know the list has been re-posted a few times for other reasons since then, so I just wanted to point out that in the original context there was a reason why it was based on this specific time frame.

The only siren I heard was the "PJ nerd alert" one.

Are we getting the song today? What time does the TC newsletter usually arrive?

I don't want to read interviews if BOB is involved with every one. He is already putting me off.

BOB's presense on the album is going to be like a game of "Where's Waldo"

Do you think they're honestly happy about him being PJ over-seer?

I think they're happy that everything is easier if they just let BOB direct the album to a degree. Creating albums is so hard if you're a family man and don't have time.

I think they may be unaware of the fact that the fans have a problem with him.

The sentiment seems universal across The Pit as well as here.

The BoB hate seems premature on this record, since we've only heard one song and no one really complained about its producing.

Yeah, I certainly don't have any problems with the sound of Mind Your Manners.

In any event, the band are ultimately responsible for how their records sound. Brendan isn't producing them by stealth.

Release Date: Oct. 15
Label: Monkeywrench/Republic
Pearl Jam launched "Lightning Bolt," its first studio album since 2009's Billboard 200 No. 1 "Backspacer," with a July announcement as well as with the snarling whiplash of lead single "Mind Your Manners," which rises 3-2 on the Active Rock chart. Since then, the veteran Seattle quintet has shared other facets of the forthcoming 10th studio effort by debuting two songs live at Chicago's Wrigley Field: tender ballad "Future Days," which features producer Brendan O'Brien on keys, and the title track, a midtempo rocker. O'Brien, who has worked with PJ for 20 years, notes that frontman Eddie Vedder "sings his ass off on this record," particularly on "Sirens," which he calls "one of the best songs they've ever written."
He adds that "Sirens" and another album track, "Infallible," are both "very melodic and beautiful songs." The recording of "Lightning Bolt" began with sessions in early 2012 after the blitz surrounding Cameron Crowe's 2011 "Pearl Jam Twenty" documentary and was finished during sessions at Los Angeles' Henson Recording Studios earlier this year. "Especially when we were finishing up," O'Brien says, there was a sense of "unity, everybody pulling together, and there was a joy about what we were doing. The songs have a lot of drama—they're good at that. But there wasn't a lot of drama from the [process], just a lot of everyone enjoying."
The 12-song set, whose full track list was revealed by the band on Twitter on August 30, also includes a version of "Sleeping By Myself," a song which first appeared on Vedder's 2011 solo album "Ukulele Songs."
"I think it's a great representation of their work right now," O'Brien says of "Lightning Bolt." "If you like Pearl Jam, you'll love this. And if you haven't listened to Pearl Jam in awhile, I think it's going to bring you in. That's the whole idea."

Horrible quote.
This'll be the closest we get to a double album wont it.

So does mike having to argue to get yellow moon added to make it a 12 track album kill the though of SBM getting added at the expense of something like of the earth? Looks like it was already decided on at that point and they were gonna roll with an 11 track album again

I know we haven't heard it yet and it could be complete shit, but mike may have saved the end of the album from being a total snoozefest.

Theory: All the other band vingnettes were related to MYM yes? maybe the jeff one has something to do with the next single?

The more i hear from B'oB the more i feel justified in bitching about him. Maybe eddie needs to listen to him less and tell him to fuck off more, it worked on the other albums. And worry about pleasing people less. The band might not have, but BoB isn't even trying to make it sound like they gave much of a shit. He'd make shitty salesman.

This bastard needs to leak so i can form my own opinions. And for the love of god can we get an interview with an actual member of the band.

Also why would eddie work in a room seperate to the band 'with his own team' ? or does he mean recording vocals and shit?
I am glad it made you less exicted, since I feared being held responsible if I would sound too positive ;). And Sirens really is not too cheesy, all in all. From what I got they just work in both studio rooms at the same time, exchanging the results in between.

Mirella :)

Well i already don't like FD and i don't mind SBM but by all acounts this version is bouncier, folkier and happier than the uke version which doesn't seem like my kinda thing.
