Feels like you can sing the chorus to DuranDurans Ordinary World over the chorus to this one if you wanted to. Ed just needs to go high I. The fourth chord of the chorus and it’s there. Dig the song overall

The atmosphere is great. I like the structure. Ed doing his Boss Jr. routine isn’t doing it justice. Adding keys to Ed vocals is still ...different. This is pretty damn solid.

This was better on the second listen, though a bit long.

Yes.

I can already tell this is the grower of the album for me.

That is exactly what I said to my wife. She looked at me like I was nuts. Thank fuck someone else could hear Duran Duran in that chorus. I thought I was going mad.

A few cringe worthy moments early on, but a pretty decent song nonetheless. Very uneven.

I really don't like that keyboard melody in the half-tempo parts

I'm listening to this again. This time out loud (first 2 times on headphones). And I'm listening with my wife while we cook. Anyway, this song really popped this third time. I've liked it every time but it really stands out right now.

there's a Pixies-ness to the juxtaposition of the spacious, almost alt country plod of the music, and the wordy lyrics

on second thoughts, that keyboard I didn't like wouldn't be out of place on a Cure song
