Most of these new songs are turning out to be slow starters for me, but this one is immaculate -- slightly off-center and still conventionally pretty, my favorite kind of Pearl Jam. Also the most effortlessly attractive vocal I've heard from Eddie in many, many years.

Are... are those... horns??

How do y’all feel about “first do no hoooo aaaarm”? It actually didn’t bother me. I giggled though. So quintessential Ed.

I can see this one growing to be one of my faves. The vocals are beautiful.

I got blood
Blood on my hands
The stain of, of a human

I finally awoke
To my mother’s wrath
Call lights
Bed sores and sponge baths

Firstly do no harm
Then put your seatbelt on
Buckle up

The drapes pull back
Reveal her wound
Her boy on her lap
A murderer groomed
Antiquities lost
Lost to the Nile
A sudden slip
A fall on the tile

Firstly do no harm
Then put your seatbelt on
Buckle up

lol I can't believe this is being a voted a 5 star song. Yes it's on the level of Once, Go, Release, Why Go, Black etc. You guys handing out them 5's real easy

It's a wonderful song. Stone is Benmont Tench texture on some songs and Keith Richards writer on others. And sometimes he's Malcolm Young, others Joe Walsh. Stone is the reason this band remains top tier. He gets it.

I can't wait to have breakfast with him.

Yeah, this is pretty great. Would fit just fine on Moonlander which I really liked.

It sounds like Ed is aping Stone's vocal style to the point that I wondering if it was actually him the first time I heard it.

This is gonna be a personal favorite! Love to see the positive reaction it's getting from RM.

A little meat right at the end of each chorus wouldn't have hurt. I was begging for it, but it never came.

i love that its starts super pretty and the first line is "i have blood on my hands" :haha: maybe its the mix, but i really dig this. its pretty, but still has a weird tension to it.
