Re: Quick Escape
Pretty good song. Jeff knows how to write shit. It's a 4 from me, maybe a 5 on the Gigaton scale. Solid song, not mind blowing either though. Nothing on this album is.

Would everybody just get over Bushleaguer's lyrics already. They're fine.Anders wrote:Bushleaguer has good music, but the lyrics ruin it. I don’t mind if a song has some forgettable lyrics, but those are just too overt. Nothing like that on this album.

Strong agreed. My first thought was Queens of the Stone Age, but ZL+FNM is a pretty decent comp for QotSA, hahaRob wrote:Very Led Zeppelin to me, with a bit of Faith No More at the end.

Re: Quick Escape
the verses sound they like could've been part of my father's son (and i think that that song is the best song on LB)
and that first solo sounds like tom morello. love it.

Re: Quick Escape
Great song
I can't escape the urge to sing "No recess" instead of "Quick escape".
I'm surprised I'm the first here to mention School by Nirvana.

I don't hear any connection between the two but the chords of both choruses are pretty much the same.mkay0 wrote:You just broke my brain with this, wow. Vocal delivery is uncanny.troglodytes wrote:Great song![]()

Re: Quick Escape
I wrote that down in my notes on first listen. It absolutely reminds me of “School”.Birds in Hell wrote:I don't hear any connection between the two but the chords of both choruses are pretty much the same.mkay0 wrote:You just broke my brain with this, wow. Re: Quick Escape
I caved and went to listen.
THE VIBE IN THIS SONG! The drums! Reminds me of Alone!!
I MISSED GROOVY PEARL JAM A LOT
No idea if the song is great or if Im just happy to hear groovy Pearl Jam again but man this sounds like their old stuff more than anything on the last two albums.

Re: Quick Escape
I don't really want Pearl Jam that sounds like their old stuff at this point.

Re: Quick Escape
This is what this song most reminds me of. The live slightly faster Alone.
