Re: The Official GIGATON Thread
went for a walk earlier, just to get out of the house, get some fresh air/vitamin d.
we all know it's not uncommon for Ed to reference home in his lyrics, and he's still doing it on this album, and I'm good with that. there's also lots of call-outs to distance as well.
I had another one but lost it as I was typing this.
Also, along with several folks here, I'm wondering how he pulls off Who Ever Said live...so wordy. I'd forget all the damn words.

This album is musically deep and sonically interesting. Huge props to Josh Evans.

Feels like there’s a lot to discover. Like the guitar scratching in the right side speaker before the drums kick in on Who Ever Said.

Also all of the little timing imperfections make me want to know more about how this was recorded

Just had that thought earlier.
This is by far and away the most live sounding record.

Wait, the versions of Superblood and Dance on Spotify right now are different than what I had previously downloaded from that site. I can hear more of the echo around Ed in Superblood, various small details, and a part I hadn’t noticed yelling on the left side at the end of Clairvoyance (four minute mark)stip wrote:what does that mean? I am definitely hearing more detail on Dance than Ive gotten on Spotify

Dance of the Clairvoyants - we've been over this.
Quick Escape - Rage Against the Zeppelin That Bullets the Blue Sky
Alright - warm blanket I need.
Buckle Up - why I'm Stone's Bitch.
Comes Then Goes - this is somehow kind of a masterpiece (of mic'ing and singing and lyrics - a wrenching tribute to Chris.)
River Cross - Pearl Jam IS Peter Gabriel.

A TOUCH BETTER THAN MIDDLE OF THE ROAD
Never Destination

Superblood Wolfmoon

Yeah. I downloaded both songs the day they dropped, and I’ve been listening to those downloads all this time. I just checked again, and that part isn’t in that very first download. So at some point they reupped a version with a wider palate. Whether that happened a while ago or just recently, I dunnodad wrote:are you talking about the HEY HEY part? I can’t take it anymore. This would’ve been a great opportunity for PJ to give an early digital copy to Tenclubbers, seeing how I’m stuck at home all week. But since that isn’t going to happen, would anyone care to link me to the leak? Thanks!
