Leave it to Disney to fuck up the content of a box set like that enough for me to not even buy it. It seems crazy to me that I’m not interested in a 4K SW saga box set. Sigh.

What is wrong with the content?

Shitty transfers, no theatrical cuts of the OT.

We know they at least have a new hope in 4K

It is a weird decision to be sure

They’re all in 4K, but it’s the special editions, not the theatrical cuts

Oh I meant the original cut. Think it was Rian or gareth Edwards said they’d seen it at the ranch

It was Edwards. Unfortunately he was referring the updated version. It’s the transfer we’re getting now.

I really can't imagine that we'll see the theatrical releases until after George dies. If ever. I don't think anyone can blame Disney for that either. George doesn't acknowledge them anymore. He doesn't want them to exist anymore. Disney is probably just honoring George's vision/wishes, if not an actual contract clause.

It fucking sucks but what are we gonna do?

I just don’t watch tv at all or even Star Wars all that much. So I can’t justify buying a huge 4K tv just for this boxset.

Sad though coz it looks amazing

I really don’t. I’m either listening to pods or the radio.
Obsessively actually cos I can’t deal with silence anymore. Been alone for nearly 6 months now and even Randall will tell you I’ll avoid conversation and just have earphones in all the time.
It’s much easier. I’ll definitely watch TROS loads and the ST once I have all three. But nothing like as much as you’d think.

For the love of god, do NOT buy a 4K setup if you only want it for this box set. I’ve seen the transfers. They look like dogshit.

Makes sense. I’m quiet constantly just got tired of the silence. It got damn lonely. That’s why I’m here so much. Won’t last forever though.
