Gigaton: Official album thread

Remember how we all skipped past songs like "Present Tense" or "Low Light" or "Sleight of Hand" or "Army Reserve" to get to the "rockers" on those albums. Then we went back and were like "Holy shit those may actually be the best songs on there". Yeah, Gigaton has at least three songs like that.

Umm, hell no. The songs you mentioned are the best songs on those albums and they were from the beginning. I’ve never skipped past those song to find the “rockers”.

I’m not bored of saying it but if you told me quick escape was an old demo they found from 90 and just re recorded it I would believe you.

Yeah, the chorus sounds straight out of Ten to me. That was my first thought the first moment I heard it, and at first I didn't trust what I was hearing.

And also you guys are so full of it acting like Binaural and Riot Act are the best PJ because now we finally get a song that sounds like Ten/Vs era and you guys eat it up!

I remember when lightning bolt half leaked in terrible quality, and I was excited to hear the real album, mainly swallowed whole, but it still sounded shit

That's how I'm feeling after a few more listens. Retrograde is the only song I'm really not wild about, so ranking was hard because I honestly really enjoy the other 11 tracks.

Very happy with this album. Still not a fan of SBWM, pity it’s the second track. Quick Escape and Take The Long Way are phenomenal.
