Worst Gigaton song

Probably Superblood Wolfmoon followed by River Cross for me, but that doesn’t mean much because I really like both. I actually like Never Destination better than SBWM, but I acknowledge that might be because of I listened to SBWM so much, and ND is brand new.

For whatever reason, River Cross is not calling to me in the same way many other songs are. That very well may change over time. I listened to the album front to back twice in the evening after work and was sleepy and tired by the time I got to the end of it.

"Superblood Wolfmoon" is just an utterly inept song in a dozen different ways. It's not only the worst song on Gigaton by some distance but one of the worst things they've ever done.

I'm not good at breaking down what goes on in a song but maybe you can help me understand this song better. if i compare this to sonething like green day's when i come around, for example, they're both fun tunes (though i dont like when i come around) with vocals that could be either loved or hated but sbwm doesn't sound limited to the same riff throughout the song and has a guitar solo which perfectly fits the energetic pace of the song. Would you hate sbwm if the vocals were done by one of your favorite singers? The song is wordy but but for someone who doesn't mind the style it has plenty of hooks in the lyrics and there's enough guitar highlights in it to keep my focus. I get it though, if the guitars were busier in when i come around i would still despise the song because i hate the vocals.

If nothing else, sbwm adds variety to the album in a fun/Hitchiker kind of way?

I don't find SBWM fun, mostly just a jumbled mess of half-written hooks that the band trudges through haphazardly. The lyrics are whatever

The worst song goes to Retrograde followed by Buckle Up. Both songs do not belong on the album as they screw up the flow.

I refuse to answer this right now. Even the songs I’m not wild over have some redeeming qualities in them.

Superblood Wolfmoon gets votes because people had different expectations for it based on the teaser and buildup. I don't think it would be getting these votes if it didn't have the anticipation of the reveal and being the 2nd single. There's a psychological factor here, imo.

Superblood Wolfmoon is awesome. I love that song more and more every day. Best fast song on the album
