No one knows. Speculation is in the summer (August). But could be sooner, especially with Corona.

It’s out on Blu-Ray on March 31st in the US, and available for paid streaming now. But Europe has to wait. Digital download 13th of April, Blu-ray/dvd 4th of May.

Torrents for sure, and itunes in the US, but not on itunes in Europe yet. Still on pre-order.

Finally got around to watching this last night, and I was really underwhelmed by the whole thing. Made me sad that this is how they ended it

My friend and I have been talking about the “post-cinema” aspects of this movie a lot and he wrote a really good piece about it for Forbes:

An interesting article (especially Sandler vs Bay), but I did find his analysis of anything to do with TROS lacking.

That’s fair, and I would say I think the post-cinema absurdity of TROS is less intentional than he argues. But it’s an interesting development nonetheless.

There's a lot lacking, for sure, across the entire article. The RoS stuff is especially thin and kinda reads like he didn't see the previous film at times.

But as much as I can quibble with parts of the piece, there's also a ton of insight and stuff to think about. It was a great read and I look forward to diving into these ideas more with friends.

A lot to chew on. I love that.

Nor does it vibe with the other films in the saga.

i think the main problem JJ had was he didnt wanted to follow a lot of the insights Rian left him. And even if Palps was his idea and put him in some capacity on TFA, it was clearly left off from TLJ.

Basically he had to cram two movies into one big long one.

Post rise of skywalker cinema.

In March.

The film was released just three months ago. Almost to the day.

Look up ‘great movies that ruined hollywood’ for a far better analysis of that idea. Which this clown is just trying to make his own.
