I would guess that the real number is higher than zero and less than "millions." The Chinese government and 4chan are equally worthless for honest, accurate information.
It’s so hard to know for sure. We’re talking about a country that lost 15-30 million people in a famine, and the rest of the world barely even knew something was happening. It almost seems like a waste of time to rely on or draw conclusions about any data coming out of China. It also seems unnecessary, since there are so many places dealing with this now and sharing better data.

Figured this would be the announcement after Cuomo's earlier today though NY was much faster in getting a list on business exemptions/definitions out.

Yeah this put my wife out of a job.
Sorry to hear that bada.
Reading the statement it just weighed heavily on working from home yet there are so many professions in which that is simply not an option. I understand WFH has certainly become relatively common but the language came off as if it were a balanced alternative. Has she already filed or was it this order that did the job in?

I guess there is a still a chance she can wfh. She'll know for sure on Monday. They have to find her a laptop. She should have a job when this is all over so it's not the end of the world.

Anyone else dealing with family members turning into paranoid fucking Howard Hughes types over this? Christ, we’re doing alll we can, staying inside, not going to work or school, limiting trips to the store. That’s all we can do. My mom and wife are acting like anytime you look at another person or walk within five feet of them, you probably have coronavirus.

but it could have just been another winter nasal/throat/cough/fatigue thing ... with a slight fever at night bc it was viral-based... that was accompanied by diarrhea from too much fiber and coffee...

I thought the same thing myself. 6 weeks ago Daughter had “Flu” and went to urgent care, but tested negative for strep and flu. So many kids at her school (private) were out sick about 6 weeks ago they shut down school for two days. The kids tested negative for flu.

After my daughters “Flu” I had it and was home for three days with fever, cough. I still have remnants of cough. I didn’t go to dr. Because it wasn’t severe.
