Hmmm I can see that. MFC for the style and sound, BOJ for the “chunkiness” and warmth of the guitars. It’s got the flowing looseness of MFC with the sharper, harder edges of BOJ.
it does reminds me of MFC. I still think is the song im least interested in...but at the same time i know there are lots of things that will grab me in the future

Rough go at the lyrics. Left what I wasn't at least reasonably confident in blank. Please feel in the gaps :)

Blisters on my fingers, blisters on my brain
Blisters on my voices, crazy makes him sane
An angry sea, an ocean in my eyes
The waves are rolling, I’m becoming blind

I won’t be taken, won’t take myself
Kicking and screaming, have to knock me off the shelf
Feels like illusion, is this taking place
Disease and confusion, stripped off ---- place
Don’t want to leave it, these endless miles
Never destination, just more denial
More denial

Some resolution, some distance tied
To this collusion, hiding in plain sight
So see you later, never say goodbye
This little trick I play on my own mind

I’m a recluse in search of new friends
How they gonna find me back where the road ends
Off on the distance ….
50 foot and breaking ……
Don’t want to leave it, these endless miles
Never destination, just more denial
More denial

I can’t believe it, these endless lies
Never destination, just more denial
More denial

When you make the drop, the gaping maw
When you make the drop, the gaping maw
Makes us alive ,should we survive
When you make the drop, the gaping maw
Keeps us alive, survive
When you make the drop, the gaping maw

Thank you Mudhoney
Thanks …..
…., this place let me go
Off on the distance ….
50 foot and breaking ……
I won’t be taken, won’t take myself
Kicking and screaming, have to knock me off the shelf

So see you later
Never say goodbye
This little trick I play on my own end
Don’t want leave it, these endless miles
Never destination, just more denial

She was in a singer in a rock and roll band
Had command of all her voices
Turned herself into a hologram
It all came down to choices
So I say to them, never say goodbye
A little trick I play on my mind

This is a great rocker similar to Superblood Wolfmoon. I don’t like it as much as that song but I already can tell this is an underrated tune.

The moment right after the 3 minute mark where it all locks back in is like when the DeLorean hits the wire.

If this is this album's version of the fun, lightweight rocker, it's pretty remarkable how much personality and vibrancy it has. I think this is a pretty great song. I love how it's perfectly fine with following it's own loose logic. They allow moments for unexpected instrumental breaks, and go into this whole different thing in the song's last moments.

this song sounded so simple at first, maybe b/c i immediately deemed it a "pj rocker." but actual listening reveals hidden depths and interesting turns. i really like this now.

This gives me a whole 80's Kenny Loggins Footloose vibe for some reason. Which I'm surprised to say... I'm totally digging!

stip, I think it's the lyric where you've got Mudhoney. It's probably Bob Honey.

Is that Stone doing the solo? I may recognize his style of shredding there. I'd be happy if thats him, he always has some interesting approachs even if its minimalist. We'll have to wait to watch this live.

There is a bit of this song that kinda reminds me of Supersonic.

This is superior in every way, except for that filthy bridge in supersonic. Much better lyrics too.

I like Supersonic and Never Destination. There was a part during ND that reminded me of Supersonic, that’s all. Not saying one is better than the other or anything.

What do you all think is going on here? I really like this section (best part of the song. Both this and Take the Long Way end on these detour moments that are the highlight).

man, i have no idea.

she was once at the top of her game, in total control. then she lost it all, became a facsimile of herself (drugs?).

don't say goodbye and it's like you never left?
