This is the most balls out metal they’ve ever been. The Priest comp is apt. That solo section and that bass line is vintage metal. Plus the palm muting in the pre chorus could totally be from a Maiden song. Love this so much.

Everything about this song rocks. It sounds fucking killer. Soundgarden seeping from its veins. I wish they repeated the final paragraph, with ed singing the higher harmonic notes that Chris would sing over a melody like that. It’s so goddammed good. I keep listening to the song to hear that, but the whole thing shreds. I love it.

Bracketing Matt's lyrics (eventually I'll just ignore them. I've come to adore Get Right), I think my issue is just that this feels out of place for the album, and mildly out of place for Pearl Jam. I have some cognitive dissonance with the song, which is on me. It will be interesting to see if it resolves. I don't think it fits in with the rest of the album. I bet I'd enjoy it a lot more as a stand alone song.

I don't mind the fit on Gigaton, but this type of song would have worked on Backspacer better than SuperSonic or GSM.

Other writers also composing the vocal melody when writing a song creates songs where I enjoy Eddie's vocals completely. This and Buckle Up are my favorite songs in regards to vocals/vocal style.

I think it would be better near the beginning of the album maybe right before Quick Escape. It's one of the best most creative rockers on the album, but it get's lost with it's placement on the album. It gives me Ghost/Get Right/My Fathers Son vibes.

Fuck this song is good, top 3 right now. Understated delivery, yet rockin', haunting, fast, and the production is top notch. yes yes YES!

There are a few distant guitars that might be more noticeable once the album drops with a different compression....i guess this one might have more stuff hidden, specially after listening to their clip.
