For real.

This album is legitimately one of the band's most impressive statements, at least to my ears.

But hey, I'm only one person.

It will never not be funny to me when people rate things using decimal values other than 0 or 5

I'd say PJ has maybe 10 five star songs.

Yeah, agreed. 5 means best of the best, 4 is for excellent/great.

There are elements where he tries to add those elements on Lighting Bolt (song and album) and they get flattened out by the albums production.

I haven't had the chance to listen to Gigaton all day. About to. Looking forward to it!
Yeah, I love this early stage with a new album when I carve a slot out for at least one listen every day. Although, today it'll be two slots.

So we're ranking them against everything ever or just their own catalogue?

The GIF cuts just before Indy gets punched though...does that represent Coronavirus?

Really interesting how a few songs are improved on the back end.
Who Ever Said, Retrograde, and even DOTC all get better in the second half (some just start from a better place).
I appear to be in the distinct minority in that I'm not really feeling Alright.
And I have much more love for Seven O'Clock than the average bear.

So . . .

DOTC
Quick Escape
Seven O' Clock
Who Ever Said
Comes Then Goes
River Cross
Take the Long Way
SBWM
Never Destination
Buckle Up
Retrograde
Alright

It also cuts out before Indy learns he and his dad fucked the same girl what does that part represent

The album is a solid 4.

5 is too much and 3 is not enough.

So far, standouts for me are Quick Escape (their best SONG in forever), Seven O'Clock, Who ever said?, DOTC and Retrograde. Comes then goes is very good, too. River Cross could have been better, even being really good. Alright and Buckle up are good. SW has grown on me, and the other two rockers are the average rockers from PJ (not bad, but far from great).

All in all, great effort by the guys, I'm really happy with how Gigaton has panned out.

And last but not least: wtf is the problem with Stone? He's being non existent the last decade or so.
