That's enough time to listen to Gigaton all the way through like four and half times.

I don’t have a problem with the length but if it didn’t have Retrograde, I would have been just fine with that.

Or just use the last minute as an interlude between Come Then Goes and River Cross.

You definitely check this. This album is awesome. Track one is one of the best, please don’t skip it. This isn’t being exaggerated.

I was at a show in Buffalo where Ed told the story of this song's title. Pretty good. :)
what's the story?

Edit: other than the record company making them change it, I mean
He talked about showing up at the tail end of the Mirror Ball sessions and Neil telling him he should contribute one more song. When Ed told him he had shit for song ideas at the moment, Neil apparently told him to write one called I Got Shit.

1. Who Ever Said
2. Dance of the Clairvoyants
3. Quick Escape
4. Buckle Up
5. Take the Long Way
6. Comes Then Goes

Had they released that, I’d be thinking, “Holy shit, PJ is good again!”
That’s a nice set.
I'll try this now. Nowhere near done listening to the full album, which I just did, but I think this will be a very enjoyable listen.

What happens with the theater experience we think? Any chance they release it for free? I mean they presumably had a visual experience for all these songs, where does it go now?

Still hanging in without listening...can't wait to hear what they've cooked up. Need this album more than ever right now
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Haha.....yes! I really like that flyer...Feels like I'm calling in to Art Bell Coast to Coast...No, Anders, my friend, no clips for me. Two singles heard, both singles checked for quality on the leak, and that's it.

Very excited to get this from HDTracks on Thursday night at midnight. Not sure I'll be getting the CD from 10c, Inc. any time soon; even $6 in shipping on a $15.99 CD apparently isn't enough to beat back a virus

Ms Harmless wrote:OK so my Gigaton complaints:

I don't like some of what I see as the poppier elements of WES; and it bothers me because so much of it is amazing, in a vintage PJ way, like really exciting (basically everything from "home is where the broken heart is" onwards)

I can't help thinking everything before the guitars come in on SBWM is unnecessary time-wasting

I actually like "Retrograde", but you can tell Ed recorded it earlier with BoB (ticks like pronouncing "the" as "thwuh"); but it seems like Josh probably turned his voice back down to meld with the rest of the songs, and let them have that amazing end section, so whatever

and that's it; everything else has surpassed my wildest 2020 dreams
I agree with the poppier elements of WES, specially in the chorus. But its such a good song its fine.
agreed
