Re: R.I.P.
This one made me a little sad when I heard; I grew up with lots of 70s & 80s country music playing on the radio.BurtReynolds wrote:The Gambler himself, Kenny Rogers.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

You can make fun of me all you want. But McNally was a tremendous and important voice -- and especially so during the AIDS epidemic. He's one of my community's best and most valuable voices. His passing is sad. And made tragic by the fact that, though 81, it was still too soon. He didn't need to die from complications of COVID-19.tragabigzanda wrote:Oof... What a legend.
I hope it doesn't happen to someone who means anything to you.

No harm intended. But also please calm down.
It was me yeah. And I can totally see how it's funny in the context as you explained it.

There’ll be some of us in here soon
And ‘that guy died, Ruddo’ won’t be appropriate or funny anymore.

I’m chuckling thinking about you bitching about office proximity and not being able to work from home just the other day
