Best single the band has ever released.
wrong.

I Got Shit / Long Road
Isn't that an EP, though?

The NAIS single with Insignificance and the BSB versions of Footsteps and Betterman is up there, somewhere. As is the 1992 Alive single.
the Jeremy single has to rank up there in terms of being iconic and important to the band
Sure, sure.

It's a shame the only other time they've done a non-album single/ep was Last Kiss. And that was basically forced out of them.
You could loosely classify Ole as a non-album single I guess.

That would be awesome though.
you could still get b sides on itunes couldnt you? i dont know if it does happen

or put it as a b-side on spotify and earn some royalties.....its better than nothing

I just read through the reviews again and I find some of these general quotes very informative:

"It’s a bit like Backspacer but with more depth and a bit more experimentation."

"We call an album like this.... a 'grower'."

"A lot more slower songs than I expected."

"It seems I enjoyed the second half of the album more, and it looks like I will be in the minority on this one, judging from other people’s reviews so far."

"The album is not easily digestible in one go, which usually is a good sign."

"I think we are in for an interesting ride to say the least."

"I think it will be better than Backspacer. It’s a darker and more atmospheric record with some great gems."

"It’s half of the record I really wanted from them (Getaway, My Father’s Son, Infallible, Pendulum, Let The Records Play, Yellow Moon) and half of what you have heard from this band before (Mind Your Manners, Sirens, Lightning Bolt, Sleeping By Myself, Swallowed Whole, Future Days)."

"It is Pearl Jam as we know them, and yet it is still new. Same quality, same diversity."

I think Man of The Hour would qualify as a non-album single.
Completely forgot it

Yeah, it feels like such a long time since I've had a brand new album-full of Pearl jam to hear for the first time.

45 minutes straight of PJ songs I've never heard before (minus 5 minutes).
That's what it's all about.

The moment I receive my Lightning Bolt LP, I will be putting it on the turntable, rolling a fatty, and yes, sucking it hard.

You realize we won't get the LP in Canada for about 2-3 weeks after the release right?

Go / Small Town [Acoustic] / Alone single is pretty tough to beat.

did you have it before the widespread leak? Because that was about a week prior to the release, give or take.
