Warren's great. It amazes me the sheer amount of songs that he knows how to play. Over not-too-long stretches of time he had to play anything from the Dead repertoire, the Allman Brothers repertoire, and his own band's repertoire. Each of those encompassed a substantial amount of covers with only limited overlap.

Of the 88 shows I was lucky enough to see between March of '88 and March of '93, this was - all in all - probably the best show I ever saw. The setlist on paper does it NO justice. It may sound crazy to some, but THIS show was Brent's funeral show. The depth, breadth, and meaning of this show cannot be expressed in words. It was *stunning".

And I say that as not as some newcomer who saw his first good show on acid, this one was something special.

MUCH better copies circulate than the official "Dick's Picks" version of this show, and you owe it to yourself to track one down.

In the the midst of a fantastic 6 show run at The Garden in '90, they snuck this one in. It's gorgeous, terrifying, and hopeful all at the same time.

You know that "dark place" where the Miami '89 Dark Star show came from ? That energy is here as well, along with a promise for a brighter future, (which sadly never really came true...)

You want to know what The Dead was all about ? Find yourself a GREAT sounding copy of this show.
(The "Dicks Picks" version AIN'T it...)

Almost 22 years later, and I still haven't fully recovered from it....

You need to look no further than this site to find the copy you need.

I don't get the detest for the DP release, I'd say it sounds better than this audience pull though MSG never had good sound. Either way this is a good excuse to throw it on, thanks.

We got a nice one today everyone. Getting into the band I was never that into the Dozin' set, that said I really grew into these Spring 90 shows. They were really getting into a great space, probably since '89 or so. I think Bobby once said 1990 was even better than 1977. Anyway, this show is definitely worth your time, and this link to my ears at least sounds a bit better than the official Dozin at the Knick. H/S/F is seamless, the crowd goes nuts. Come for the Loser (one of the best ever), stay for the second entire set.

They're playing earlier that week like right down the interstate from me at Hershey, but that's like the worst venue in the world (may go to that too anyway)

Listened to Dave's Picks Volume 32 (1973-03-24) yesterday and really enjoyed it, with shutting down my direct sales counter I think I'll probably be queuing up a few shows in a row tomorrow.

I love the super slow "Eyes" on Dave's 33. Pretty great show all around but that "Eyes" is something else.

Really looking forward to Dave's 34, which is Miami '74 -- one of those "had it on CDR forever" shows...
