so, i started with the bourbon, thinking that the scotch will still above my pay grade with my kiddie palate. i then tried a scotch that was super mild -- not peaty or smokey at all -- just to get my feet wet. but i still craved bourbon. then i got more adventurous and tried a better brand of scotch. and then i started drinking scotch about as often as bourbon. now i don't think i've touched bourbon in a month. it's been all scotch, which i definitely prefer now.

who would've thought a couple of years ago when i was drinking beer exclusively and couldn't handle the burn of bourbon or scotch that i would rarely be drinking beer now? while completely immature and irresponsible, i feel like a part of me grew up.

i'm proud of you..i love all the brown whiskeys and scotch is my favorite too..long story but a college baseball coach introduced it to me in the 80s..nothing weird to take away from that..
