I wish they'd revisit/retool "Anything in Between". It's got some groove to it.

I really like Ed's falsetto at 3:18 of this song, "quick escaaaa-eee-ooo"

it's really subtle but I like where that melody goes

Really like this one. Not what I expected for the vocal after hearing the snippet and the discussion around it hear. Jeff is the clear MVP on this one. Like most posting here, I dig the loose jam at the end.

I give this song a 5. It's the best song they've created in years, I absolutely love it.

It's gonna be a banger live.

I understand why this one is the common favorite but I can't really get into it, it's probably just something stylistic. It's very well executed but it's a bit too 70's hard rock for me, I can't stop hearing KISS in the chorus and especially Eddie's yeah-YEAH.

I'll do my best in the billboard tournament to make everyone think otherwise.

Same. First listen. Didn’t think there was any way this could possibly sound like Rage like people were saying. Well fuck. It does. I could listen to that groove alone all day. Just cranks. And holy shit Ament! Where the fuck you been?

Nor me.

It's still very much a modern Pearl Jam song to my ears.
People are making that comparison because it's a groove-based mid-tempo rocker with a big chorus that features multiple vocal parts (reminiscent of "Breath") and also has extended solo sections and a "jammy" ending. The aesthetics aren't the same but I totally understand why this comparison is happening. PJ haven't made a lot of these types of songs in a while.

Jorge nails it here.

It totally bangs a heart string for me it sounds like the Pearl Jam I initially fell in love with it.
Breath being the best comparison.

It brings me right there but in a whole new brilliant beautiful way.

I Fucking love this song.

slightly embarrassed to admit I hung around that live chat last night, and I commented to Jeff I loved the last 1:18 of this tune, he replied "hopefully we take it out about 5:18 live"

I'm sure you guys have already talked about this -- I've been avoiding the individual song threads until today, largely -- but I just noticed BOB is credited on keys in the liner notes for this song.

keys as in the sound of his jingling as he wonders why he's locked out of the studio
