I always said that if Backspacer had been covered in Pink Floyd shit, SoS might've worked perfectly. If this one's covered in Pink Floyd shit, BO'B can basically go to town on it and it could sound awesome. Or it could something else. But the best scenario would be crazy, over-indulgent music = crazy, over-indulgent producer. On a couple of spots on Backspacer, I found BO'B's style to be too much for a plain old rock band with plain old rock songs.

From what we're hearing, it sounds like the music has gone to the strange places. Which I'm fine with. Agree completely about the production doing that on backspacer.

So, this page has moved about 25 pages since I checked about 10 hours ago. I'm guessing we still have jack shit?

Not a sniff, Sarge. I even searched the peripheries of the island, had my men clear out the women and children from the huts, and instructed 10 apache helicopters to scout the area. This one's looking more and more slippery by the day.

Surely someone here has an old laptop they can risk malware on by checking out all the "New PJ" torrents. If it worked for Backspacer . . . . .

I found a torrent I've not seen before, not confident enough to investigate on this laptop.

Stay vigilant, men. We will not rest until the mission has been accomplished. And remember:

Guys, please, if it isn't on What (or other private trackers), just ignore it.

(Unless viruses are what you're into, of course.)

I will admit I know nothing about this; just hadn't seen it before.

Almost posted yesterday (but didn't) that I feel like Jeff is at a creative peak the past couple of years. I mean, just look at the guy's output. Whether you like his songs or not, dude is creating his ass off. One could say both Ed and Stone have been creating the past few years too with their solo work, and obviously Matt with Soundgarden. I wouldn't say they're all in creative lulls, maybe just in a Pearl Jam lull

I was hoping to awake to better news but this wasn't unexpected. At least the new Vault vinyl is being shipped (allegedly) :-)

Yeah I think so. They're looking for a new dynamic, creatively and functionally, and haven't found one yet, which is possibly why they're responding to BO'B's very managerial approach at the moment. It's got to be good for figuring out what you do and don't want. It's been a great move getting Jeff so involved with stuff this time.

I don't think that can be said for certain without hearing the record. For cripes sake, GIVE IT A CHANCE!
