I wish they could go back and have a do-over on Lightning Bolt with Evans. Not all the songs are salvageable, but Getaway, My Father's Son, LB, Swallowed Whole, and Yellow Moon would probably improve dramatically. And who knows what he might have done with Sirens and Infallible.

Pendulum would sound so much better. That song really needs some air.

Yellow Moon's closed off atmosphere works well for the way the song is structured - if it opened up it would turn into a different song (which would be okay).

I mean, every song would be improved, but Pendulum and Swallowed Whole in particular jump out as being songs that need more space to breathe.

i would love to hear YM and Pendulum produced by Josh, even if those two are my favs from LB.

Agreed, I'm not interested in hearing remixes of those songs either.

It's pretty obvious that Brendan "arranged" the life out of any interesting material the band brought to the sessions for the previous two records, I'd only be interested in going back to hear the demos of what the band had originally brought in (like Matt's "Need to Know" demo.)

SW still needs to breathe. There needs some space between transitions. It’s too choked.
