this song's a little gem... aspects remind me of 'Around the Bend' .... maybe bc Ed is taking care with his vocal delivery.... doing something notably different than his typical formula these days

it is funny how this whole board is already like 14 days deep on this album

who would have thought listening the day after the official release date would result in amishness

but here i am

posting amidst regular volumes

like driving down a sparsely populated freeway

Absolutely love this one, though I wish Matt would've layed out a bit. Crashes in too soon with the speed of sound stylings. More dynamic tension in holding off a while. It's fantastic as is, though.
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

It absolutely does. I just would've preferred if he didn't come in right after the intro. Let that first verse breathe a lil'

Eddie does a great job keeping one foot in "comforting lullaby" and the other in "serial killer"

What if this really is just about a serial killer looking back on his life and the choices his mother made that led him to the path he took?

I kind of love it.

This song gets better every time I listen to it. Having the vinyl sound quality helps so much. And the liner notes.

I just wish Stone sang it. I feel like that would bump this up a full letter grade.
