Re: Wrigley Field - July 19
True story - we used to take a charter bus up from Minneapolis to thunder bay to play in hockey tournaments. Although it was just across the border - Canadians seem to breed bigger and hairier children. We would always win the hockey games but they would intimidate the fuck out of us. Their parents would also threaten us in the rink lobby...

I've never been to Wrigley. This show and meeting Strat would be the best way to break that cherry.

But is there any chance the sound (acoustics) won't suck?

Re: Wrigley Field - July 19
I would assume this is the only Chicago stop on the yet to be announced tour (outside the small chance of a warm up show at a club).
I am a huge cubs fan, and love the nostalgia part of this, but I have friends, family, acquaintances coming out of the woodwork asking me "are we going to PJ @ Wrigley?, this is so awesome, can't wait, blah blah blah".
If they were playing UC/Allstate/anywhere else none of these people would even know or care that Pearl Jam was playing a concernt. So obviously tickets will be tough to get. that part kind of frustrates me, since I would be pretty much guaranteed tickets to any other arena Chicago show.
Oh well, hope for the best...

They will be "fair" to get. Remember, the lotto makes things more "fair" not more "difficult".

Ok, but the demand for 10c tickets will obvioulsy be significantly higher (more entries in the lotto, less chances to win), and the demand for public onsale will be insane. Hence why i think generally tickets will be harder to come by.broken iris wrote:BDB wrote: So obviously tickets will be tough to get. that part kind of frustrates me, since I would be pretty much guaranteed tickets to any other arena Chicago show.

i remember when pj posted multiple dates and people scrambled for tix. now they really need to see some numbers before adding that second show. it sucks to pay for night 1 and thats all you can afford and then they add a second night. last time around they only had interest for 1 night in boston. that was odd.

Don't forget that even if you can't get all of them tickets (or any), you can listen outside the park.BDB wrote:I would assume this is the only Chicago stop on the yet to be announced tour (outside the small chance of a warm up show at a club).

if you can only afford one show, who gives a shit how many shows they announce?
