Hard to tell. I would think 20+ times.

i think i've hit the proverbial wall and am nearing album fatigue. i need to put this away for a bit. otherwise i'll hit the point where i'm dead sick of it and then really won't be able to enjoy it for awhile.

Time to walk away for a bit. Once I hit that wall it makes the eventual revisit way more rewarding.

A good bit, but I’ve slowed down over the weekend. A lot of good music came out on Friday to give me a break and not wear it out.

yeah, I'm also at the point where I want to give this a short break, then see how enjoyable the revisit is

I've definitely slowed down. Haven't listened to it today and probably won't.

Listened to it a bunch when it leaked. Just got my CD in the mail yesterday. I'll rip it to have it available, but I have slowed down a bit and listened to stuff I haven't in years.

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I've taken a 48 hour break, for the reasons you mention. But listened all the way through at least 10 times and some songs I've probably listened to some 25+ times since 3/20, which seems like years ago.

Got the cd today though, so break-time over!

All the way through? Probably like once or twice.

Not gonna lie, my method to listening to the record is usually:

Start with Who Ever Said then skip to Quick Escape and listen through Comes Then Goes. After that, I'm done.

Nothing against DotC but I've heard it a billion times already. SBWM works a lot better in context of the record, but still not a must-listen for me.

but don't think that you may have a better appreciation for the "skip" songs whilst listening to them within the contest of the entire album?

See, this is why I waited until the album dropped before I listened to DotC or SBWM, because I knew I would over-listen and it would damage the initial album listening experiences.

I think I had heard almost half of Lightning Bolt, before that had been released.

Perhaps. But depending on my mood, Retrograde, which I've never really liked, and River Cross can be a chore. I'd rather just relisten to the songs I'm digging currently.
