Actually, I just checked my own vinyl copy and sure enough! Right there in the groove on Side A. I didn't know that was there. Thanks for the heads up, evenslow. 8-)

That was interesting to read the band had never played Quick Escape together in the same room until tour rehearsals. Maybe I missed him mentioning that before.

Can someone copy and paste the article? I can't get it to open up. When I click "read more" it just won't open.

Having heard how some of the songs were made (e.g. Quick Escape), will be interesting to hear how the band interprets the songs live

Sitting bullshit and all?
And all.

Dude, I always liked Bushleaguer too.
So you’re ok with the lyrical content of this album? I’ve got a buddy that’s conservative Republican like you and he hates the lyrics, but loves the music. He said the lyrics were too political.
Pearl Jam has always had different politics than me. Same with 95% of musicians and Hollywood. I’m used to it, and I’m absolutely able to separate my political beliefs from art. Pearl Jam’s music is good great when it’s got anger/concern/politics, and it has always been that way. Why would anyone expect any different now?

They have moved on from Rock music in general so i dont think they even care to listen to this album and that makes me sad.

But, life goes on.

I have RM.
:heartbeat: I love it too, man. So much. And it came at the perfect time.
We got it guys! This is what we've been hoping for, for years! I told myself this wasn't possible, but here we are and Pearl Jam is perfecting past musical ideas and expanding what their capable of.

Sadly, my three closest PJ friends (toured all over the country with one of them) have turned into conservative talk radio listeners and have either lost their musical hearts or are just brainwashed that anything from left can't be good. I'm working on one of them really hard right now and I think he will come around, but it still makes me sad for them, and for me. Glad I get to read all of RM's excitement. Keep posting!
I’m a brainwashed conservative talk radio lister too. And I love this album. Nuance.
You give me hope PHATJ!

I put this album on shuffle with everything Pearl Jam, and was surprised by how consistent it sounded

I listened to Gigaton about 4 times today and am really loving it more and more on each listen. "Who Ever Said," "Superblood Wolfmoon," and "Never Destination" have all grown on me a lot. "Retrograde" and "River Cross" still don't work for me. But they're really the only two.

The spoken word part in "Quick Escape" reminds me of "Rocket" by Def Leppard.
