Is the implication that this is an act of biological warfare by China? If so, why did they release it on their own people first?

Did it get out accidentally? If so, that's unfortunate, but it's not like the same thing couldn't happen to us, right? I'm sure we have our own share of nasty bugs in anonymous labs around the country.

I guess I'd just like to know the further narrative beyond "China made this in a lab."
I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd.

There is a certain corner of the American psyche that absolutely needs to retribute in order to heal.

I don't think there is a denial about testing. I think there is an understanding that the toothpaste is already out of the tube. If making sure every American could be tested would save his stockerinos, there would be testing. The real crime is not taking preventative action weeks ago.

This might have been a joke, but it's incredible how so many people still think this way.

It's an exaggeration, but their culture doesn't lend itself to innovation. Speaking from personal, anecdotal experience...

Well, speaking from personal, anecdotal experience, they obviously take what already exists, but these days I have the impression they build further on that. It's not half arsed, cheap copies anymore.
