I'm searching for a kemp reference here, but I can't find it. Did they play together at one point?

The Jazz putting up the lowest point total in a shot clock era game (54) in game three of the NBA Finals was a nice little factoid I had forgotten about. The series was really over right then and there.

This really does look great. I mean the modern day celebrity interviews I could mostly do without. But the new footage from the 97-98 season looks great.

Didn't every single Bull score? My main memory of that game, and I hope it actually happened, is the last dude off the bench (I think he wore like 24, Burrell?) dunked in the last minute of the game and the Bulls bench going crazy.

You're thinking of Dickey Simpkins. He had an and 1 Michael and Scottie enjoyed. Bill Wennington was the last Bull to score. He hit a baseline jumper with under a minute left. Scott Burrell was actually doing work most of the game.

are you there, verb?
The Chicago Bulls have embarked on a formal search process to hire a new top executive with full authority on basketball decisions, sources told ESPN.

Among the Bulls' initial plans will be to seek permission to interview Denver Nuggets general manager Arturas Karnisovas and Toronto GM Bobby Webster, among other candidates, sources told ESPN.

Chicago ownership has discussed the plan with executive VP of basketball operations John Paxson and GM Gar Forman, sources said. Paxson is likely to continue in an advisory role with the franchise; there are expected to be more ownership conversations with Forman about his future, too, sources said.

The Bulls plan to talk with several candidates to lead the franchise and expect to have new leadership well before the league resumes play following the NBA's shutdown because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Interviews will start next week and will be conducted electronically, sources said.

When they say the Bulls will do interviews electronically I assume that means they are going to send faxes back and forth or use Jerry's beeper.

And if I'm someone connected to the Raptors or Nuggets I'm probably not going to be impressed by the Bulls setup either. Why in the hell would any candidate worth anything want to deal with "Pax remaining in an advisory role".
