Fion Apple is releasing digitally this month. Fetch the Bolt Cutters. Apparently it has a Kavanaugh diss track.

“Cava? Naw.
Don’t wanna get drunk like Kavanaugh.”

That’s the part I heard, at least.

The title of the album is a reference to the Gillian Anderson show, The Fall. :luv:

Thanks, Higgs! I've enjoyed seeing your contributions to this thread as well. I can't remember if I ever mentioned it, but I Was pretty into that LA Orchestra tune you posted a little while back.

I couldn't resist the temptation of getting that El Ten Eleven album early, so I went ahead and pre-ordered. It's good and definitely way more intense and heavy than anything they've ever done.

Cindy Lee, the cross dresser identity of Pat Fleget (who used to be in post punk band Women) released a super weird and unsettling album earlier this year (especially "I Want You To Suffer", which gradually turns into pure harsh noise in the middle). Sounds like if you took snippets of pop songs from the 60s and made them devoid of any joy or light they could have had. It's really good.

Apparently they're releasing another record this month already, the track below seems to hint towards something poppier and not as noisy but fuck I like this a lot.

I loved In a Poem Unlimited but sadly the new U.S. Girls doesn't reach those levels for me

Have you tried Frances Quinlan's solo album? I remember you liking Hop Along

I'm really feeling the 90s revival of new albums from:

Pearl Jam
Nine Inch Nails
Phish
Fiona Apple
Green Day

Not that I will listen to the new stuff from GD & NIN after having finished listening, but it's cool to see each of these artists/bands still producing after all these years.
