Please sign my petition to get Disney to drop all of TCW final season now! I don't want to die not knowing how Ahsoka won the Siege of Mandalore...

My times have been slow, even more so based on anxiety wrecking my appetite. Will probably hit 20 miles this week for the first time since surgery though.

I've been feeling a lot of existential dread. Something terrible is lurking, I know it.Dev wrote:why anxiousverb_to_trust wrote:My times have been slow, even more so based on anxiety wrecking my appetite. Will probably hit 20 miles this week for the first time since surgery though.

Re: The Running Thread
By the way, my Rx running shades are awesome. The transition lenses I got make them perfect for any conditions, even a night run. Best purchase I've made in a long time.

Re: The Running Thread
I think if you put yourself into your running more it will help a bit. Push your body. At best your thinking is just creating a self-fulfilling prophecy.verb_to_trust wrote:I've been feeling a lot of existential dread. That's good advice. I was watching some Eckhart Tolle videos yesterday that I think will be helpful. Staying present will ward off my negative narratives.

Got a 9 day streak going. Only 2.5-3 miles a day, but it feels great.

Re: The Running Thread
I've seen these but can't wrap my head around the concept. The nice thing about the backbeats were they sort of hovered in your ear, which allowed you to hear traffic coming and going easily. Do the bone phones work that way?ghost wrote:Bone phones. (Aftershokz)

Re: The Running Thread
The bone phones sit on the bone right in front of your ears, basically on your temple, so your ears are uncovered. They conduct the sound through the bone via magic. The sound is decent, about on par with an average pair of earbuds. Battery life is excellent, and so far they've held up through summer, winter, and lots of sweat. I recommend them.verb_to_trust wrote:I've seen these but can't wrap my head around the concept. How are they with sunglasses? I wear my Rx shades 100% of the time now when I run outside?ghost wrote:The bone phones sit on the bone right in front of your ears, basically on your temple, so your ears are uncovered. Re: The Running Thread
A little awkward since they both need to rest on top of your ears, but not too bad.verb_to_trust wrote:How are they with sunglasses? Re: The Running Thread
First run on the treadmill yesterday. It didn't fall apart, which is good since I voided the warranty multiple times during assembly, and the best part is my wife said she can't hear it upstairs, which means I might actually get to use it.

By getting her to admit that it's not as loud as she thought it would be, I've already won the battle. If it gets louder I'll just gaslight her into thinking she's being too sensitive.verb_to_trust wrote:It'll probably get noisier the more you use it.

Re: The Running Thread
verb how do you maintain such a quick pace on the treadmill? i get down to 8:15 and i feel like i'm about to end up in a treadmill fail gif. and i can run quite a bit faster than that outside.
