Re: Anybody want a Corona?
I think most people's aversion to wishing/hoping for death on someone is rooted in the fear that somehow there will be some sort of karmic retribution that ends with your own death for wishing for such a horrible thing.
I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd.

Re: Anybody want a Corona?
You absolute ghouls.
In any event, my understanding is that NHS and general health funding has increased year upon year within the UK, though obviously not at the frenetic rate preferred by some.
It's that old chestnut (frequently also relied upon by Australian Labor) that readjustments to projected future spending on health and education in response to changed circumstances are "DRASTIC CUTS", when in fact the amount of funding provided continues to increase, never in fact being reduced in real terms.
For the sake of his family, including his partner and their unborn child, I hope Boris pulls through OK.

I don’t go around wishing he would die from corona, and he’s a notorious dictator, although probably better than most who could replace him.tragabigzanda wrote:Ok then how about Assad?Anders wrote:Godwin's law?

Boris is a democratically elected prime minister. He’s only been so for a fairly short amount of time, with no wars under his belt.
At a British football site I post at, that is notoriously anti-tory, they are all wishing him a speedy recovery.

Could hear strong pragmatic arguments for Bolsonaro (climate change in the Amazon) or Xi (this lol).

I'm torn. On the one hand, I don't care about politician's lives for the most part. On the other, Boris really triggers the libtards and I like his style, and Brexit was awesome.

Re: Anybody want a Corona?
That's why I'd probably go with Merkel as my pick. Even her name is off putting.Mickey wrote:You have always viewed politics as primarily aesthetic, so.BurtReynolds wrote:I'm torn. But since she's not running again, I guess I'll go with Xi Jinping.

There are other reasons to wish someone dead besides hate.Donald wrote:I honestly can't fathom having that much hate in my heart that I would wish another human dead.

Re: Anybody want a Corona?
Let's not undersell hate, it's one of the most useful political affects, especially in the hands of someone like Boris Johnson.
