yeah, their reactions are so fucking fake at this point. And the ones i know, are desperate for more content, more attention. Re: The Official GIGATON Thread
Well, everyone has talked about gigaton here for the best and worst reasons, by the way.
In these 29 years that have passed, 11 albums and so many concerts played, I think that all fans have the right to say what goes on in their soul. I like it that way, I don't like it that way, this song is similar to that one, that one with that one and so on. I think it's perfectly stupid to make analogies regarding gigaton and all the other albums. They are all completely different, recorded and produced at different times, with a completely different spirit and what goes on inside their homes only they know. We always discussed the same thing at the end of each album, they could have tried harder, Ed's lyrics are never perfect for anyone and we are always waiting for the next album to be perfect. But here I leave the question, what will be a perfect pearl jam album?
I can't describe what a perfect album is for me, and I've been an unconditional fan for many years, but I also tell you, I'm always waiting for it to arrive.
As for gigaton, I have read many criticisms of those musicologists who write in specialized magazines and general magazines, but forgive me many of them say a lot of shit. They do not know what they are writing, why they are writing (someone sent them) and many of them do not even know music, and there are also those who have never liked pearl jam, but have to write and from these we cannot expect great positive reviews .
Don't be so negative in relation to the band and its capabilities, for me gigaton is an excellent album, due to its musicality and lyrical side, as many have already mentioned, it combines with the tragic time that we are going through and after waiting so many years for a new album I've heard it so many times and still haven't got tired.
Continue with your discussions in the forum are always a good reason for reflection.

Re: The Official GIGATON Thread
I was re-reading my "review" of the Hall of Fame induction & performance and this paragraph made me smile:
"Not long ago I wrote that I could imagine a world in which Lightning Bolt was Pearl Jam’s final studio album but they carried on as a live act for years to come. Perhaps in that world, we’d get new box sets and reissues, maybe even one or two more b-side/rarities collections. At the time I believed that I was okay with such a world. I’m not okay with it anymore. There is still life left in this band. The fire is there and it’s ready to be stoked. I’m not ready to lose them. Not yet. And I don’t think they’re ready either."
Glad I wasn't wrong.

I was listening to this when I got up this morning, and in all honesty I was ready for an album that would just get added to the collection and probably not played much except for maybe one or two tracks, but I find myself loving this the more I listen to it. I'm still surprised that at this stage in their career and after LB that they still had it in them

6. Vitalogy
7. No Code
8. Riot Act
9. Pearl Jam
10. Backspacer
11. Lightning Bolt

3. Gigaton
4. Ten
5. Yield
6. Vitalogy
7. No Code
8. Riot Act
9. Pearl Jam
