The Lennon song is better. "Uptown Funk" is terrible

Both great songs. Sad one of them had to be eliminated. Voting for Lennon.

Has anyone heard the version of "Uptown Funk" where every other beat is missing? I like it better than the original; at least it has some character

I love Starting Over, that chord progression is lovely.

I liked uptown funk at first but over time it morphed into a corny white person song

Re: R2: Uptown Funk v Starting Over
That's the first time I've heard Uptown Funk in full. I'm vaguely familiar with it, I must've heard snippets of it here and there somehow, but it's definitely the first time I've heard the whole thing or seen the video. Honestly, I thought it was OK.
I've looked it up on Wikipedia just now and find it kind of funny, and I guess in some respects representative of modern chart pop, that it was recorded in six different studios, and has eleven credited songwriters (though only four of those developed the initial song, the remaining seven were added presumably to avoid legal action because it heavily draws from two other songs).
Crazy. One of those songs which was credited is great and totally new to me, I Don't Believe You Want To Get Up And Dance (Oops Up Side Your Head) by the Gap Band:
I haven't yet decided which to vote for, as I think this is one of Lennon's weakest solo singles.

Uptown Funk is another worst song of all time contender, and fuck Mark Ronson for making that shitty ass Queens of the Stone Age album from a few years ago too, stick to making shitty pop music bro.
