My error here is I didn’t give any space between this and Abbey Road - just powered right through. Looking back I did really like Let It Be but Abbey Road, amongst all the Beatles album, was the one that just blew me away.
There's also that Abbey Road was recorded after Let It Be, so the chronology gets a bit out of whack (if you're thinking about their development, etc.)

Listening to Rubber Soul today and I think I decided it's their best. Just a perfect songwriting statement from top to bottom. And perhaps the last time they were still an all caps real ass BAND.

Not my favorite, not their most audacious, not the sexiest but... the best.

Right?

50 years ago today Paul issued a press release that he was leaving band; essentially breaking up The Beatles.

After that run where I listened to them all in order, this emerged as the clear favorite of mine.

Swap "Beatles For Sale" with "With The Beatles" and that's pretty much my list too.

I just got done reading up on a $2,800 receiver upgrade. Perhaps i should settle down and start focusing on the best pressings available to me.
